![]() ![]() This is one of those tales where each figure of authority is seemingly bereft of common sense for the sake of plot progression. Sure, the plot of Homefront (2013) sells out early on, with the first act featuring rather lazy storytelling. It's rather underrated, too.įor an action-packed feature with Jason Statham as the lead, there's no telling how this one didn't accrue more money at the worldwide box office. And although it of course pales in comparison to that Japanese classic, this is still an interesting tale with gripping performances across the board. Wonderland utilizes the Rashamon effect, conveying its plot through multiple, contradictory perspectives. But perhaps what's most prominently worth noting aside from the aforementioned names would be the structure of the story itself. There's even a minor showing from Paris Hilton. That's hardly scratching the surface of the most star-studded cast on the list, with other thespians including Dylan McDermott, Carrie Fisher, John Lucas, Christina Applegate, and more. However, two other performers in Wonderland stole the show: Bosworth as John's girlfriend Dawn, and Lisa Kudrow as his ex-wife Sharon. Although he becomes a character impossible to root for, there's no denying the caliber of Kilmer's craft. For starters: it features fantastic efforts of acting from nearly everyone involved, most notably Val Kilmer as adult film actor John Holmes. Though not the best film you'll read about today, Wonderland (2003) nonetheless boasts many high-quality elements of filmmaking worth writing home about. It doesn't hold the proper name value to reflect those scores, but it's time now that fans took note. Wild Indian is arguably the highest-rated film on the list, boasting a 91% approval rating on critical consensus website Rotten Tomatoes. Everyone performs to a notable degree, with pundits of the industry agreeing across the board. This plot paints poignant pictures of an abused child who grows into adulthood with the darkest memories of his past at the forefront of his mind. Now grown up, Michael is forced with his childhood friend to come to terms with their actions, and things get dark in the end. He was abused by his parents as a kid, but he also got in deep by covering up the murder of a classmate. For those unfamiliar: Wild Indian follows Makwa, also known as Michael, first as a young boy of Native American origins, and then as an adult with a child on the way. And they share a great rapport as Greta and Michael Peterson. A thriller, Wild Indian (2021) features Bosworth as the wife of the protagonist, who's played by Micheal Greyeyes. ![]()
